Synopsis
Eleven-year-old Alastair feels isolated in his Cornish village. His parents pay him little attention, his friend has moved away, and his nervous difficulties make school uncomfortable. Saoirse's arrival brings someone with very different priorities: she is more interested in unexplained hauntings than in who is popular. She recruits Alastair and her unpredictable younger brother Billy into a ghost-investigation team. Their lack of competence does not keep them out of trouble, especially when the village's history leads them towards threatening spirits armed with swords. Between Billy's chaos and the supernatural mystery, Alastair has to confront fears that reach beyond the ghosts themselves.
