Seven traditional tales become plays that children can perform together. Joseph Bruchac introduces each story's source tradition and supplies adaptable parts, scenery and costume suggestions, while Teresa Flavin illustrates the collection. The plays draw on the distinct traditions of the Abenaki, Ojibwe, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Snohomish, Tlingit and Zuni peoples.
