I hope to encourage readers (of all ages) to be brave, be bold, to explore and conquer their fears, but most of all I want them to fall in love with the pure magic of stories. I’m absolutely thrilled to work with fellow creatures of the night, magical beings, and brands that align with the spooky, inclusive, and mystical energy of this space. However, like a crystal ball, I need to make a few things clear:
- I will not advertise, or endorse anything I haven’t personally read, tasted, or tried myself—because how can you trust a potion you haven’t brewed?!
- If it doesn’t fit with the values of this eerily inclusive corner of the internet, it simply won’t be invited to the coven.
- I will not knowingly endorse anything that has a whiff of harm, danger, or unethical behaviour. The only things allowed in this protected space are respect, integrity, and kindness to all creatures, great and small.
- I will not accept emails promoting tobacco, vaping, gambling, alcohol, or religious indoctrination. This is a bookish and bewitching space, not a sales cauldron for things that don’t align with my ethos. I am not open for ‘persuasion’.
- I reserve the right to decline any collaboration that is rooted in homophobia, bigotry, sexism, ableism, or any form of discrimination. This space is for all readers, and I am proud to champion books that reflect the vast, weird and wonderful diversity of this world and beyond!
Transparency isn’t just for Ghosts…
Just like I’d never brew a potion without knowing all the ingredients, I believe in full transparency when it comes to collaborations. If I’m working with a brand, publisher, or product in exchange for compensation, you’ll always know about it.
Any paid partnerships will be clearly marked with #ad—no tricks, no smoke and mirrors. Likewise, if I receive any #giftedproduct or magical offerings, you’ll see that noted as well. This way, you can always trust that my recommendations are rooted in honesty, and not in the dark arts of hidden promotion.
While I strive to review books in a timely manner, my workload is extensive (as any good Book Witch will understand!). Therefore, I cannot always guarantee exact review dates, but I will always ensure that promotion happens before publication to give each book the spotlight it deserves.
